January 30, 2019 6:02 PM | Skymet Weather Team

A fresh Western Disturbance is now over Jammu and Kashmir and its induced Cyclonic Circulation is over West Rajasthan and its adjoining areas. Due to these weather systems, another spell of widespread moderate to heavy rains and snow can be seen over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Threat of Avalanche and landslide also looms large.
These weather systems might give scattered rains and thundershowers over Punjab, one or two places of Haryana and few parts of Rajasthan as well. Minimums would further rise by two to three degrees over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh and North Rajasthan.

Talking about pollution, the pollution levels are expected to deteriorate again due to change in wind direction and calm winds. At present the levels are around poor to very poor. Soon they will be settling between very poor and severe zone.

Pan Central India would continue to witness dry weather conditions. There might be a rise in the minimums by one to two degrees over Rajasthan, Gujarat and West Madhya Pradesh. Marginal rise cannot be ruled out in Vidarbha and Marathwada as well.

Similar weather conditions are expected in East and Northeast India as well. The minimums over East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar might rise. However, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha would witness minimums below normal.

The sky would be clear over Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, thus marginal drop in minimums over these states is a possibility.
