The strong Western Disturbance which gave atrocious rains and snow over the hilly states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand has now moved away. However, remnants of this weather system might give isolated rains over few parts of the state.
The cool and dry northwesterly winds from snow clad Himalayas are now reaching northwestern plains, with which minimum may drop over Punjab Haryana, Delhi and North Rajasthan. Moderate to dense fog is also possible over isolated pockets of Punjab.
Now talking about pollution, the Air Quality in Delhi has improved significantly, and we do not expect pollution levels to deteriorate further in the coming two to three days.
In Central India, a trough is running from South Bihar up till Karnataka across Madhya Pradesh. Thus, we expect light to moderate rains and thundershowers over East Madhya Pradesh and parts of Chhattisgarh. Isolated hailstorm activities are also a possibility over these areas.
The day temperatures might fall by two to three degrees over East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and isolated parts of Vidarbha.
East India would also see some rain due to the presence of weather systems as we expect scattered rains over East Uttar Pradesh, parts of Bihar and isolated parts of Jharkhand. Weather of Odisha and West Bengal would be dry. Minimums might rise over many parts of East India particularly East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand.

Down South also, this north-south trough might give isolated thunder activities might occur over North Interior Karnataka during late night of January 24 and early morning of January 25. We do not expect any significant weather activity over Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Meanwhile a fresh Low-Pressure area over south-central Bay of Bengal might not affect the Indian mainland but we expect minimums of Coastal Tamil Nadu to rise marginally. The sky might become partly cloudy to cloudy over the same sans any rain.
