A Western Disturbance is over North Pakistan and its adjoining area. This system will start affecting the Western Himalayas by the night of January 24. Moderate north-westerlies will continue to blow across the northern plains leading to a drop of 2-3 degrees Celsius in the minimum temperature. These moderate winds will also reduce the density of fog in the region. Pollution levels in Delhi will also start to improve due to northwesterly cold and dry winds.

The weather of East India is expected to remain dry. Due to cold northwesterly winds, the minimum temperature of East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand will drop by 2-3 degrees Celsius. West Bengal and Odisha will also witness a marginal drop in the night temperature. A Cyclonic Circulation is over the eastern parts of Assam. We expect rain and snow to increase in Arunachal Pradesh.
