Conditions now seem favorable for withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon from Northwest India. Dry northwesterly winds blowing over the area have reduced humidity levels.

The Monsoon trough will continue to run closer to the foothills of the Himalayas up to Northeast India. Isolated places along the foothills could receive some light rain. The plains of North India will remain mostly dry with sunny hot afternoon hours. The hills will have pleasant weather conditions.

We can see a cyclonic circulation over Assam and neighboring areas. Accordingly, Southwest Monsoon will remain vigorous over Northeast India. Scattered light rains likely over Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Meghalaya. North Bengal and adjoining Northeast Bihar will also receive some rains.

Isolated light rainfall likely over Odisha, Gangetic plains and Chhattisgarh.

There is a trough extending from Telengana up to South Kerala. This could bring rainfall over Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Karnataka, and Kerala. Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and North Tamil Nadu will also receive mainly light rainfall.

The low level cyclonic circulation over Lakshadweep Islands has now become insignificant.
