We are in the last week of Monsoon. As of now the cumulative rainfall deficiency stands at 13%. Conditions are favourable for further withdrawal of Monsoon from rest of North and Central India.
Tomorrow we expect a fresh Western Disturbance to over Jammu and Kashmir to bring light rain over the state.
The low pressure area over Northeast India has become less marked. For now, there is a trough running across Arunachal Pradesh and Assam. In view of this system the northeastern states will receive light to moderate showers, mostly in the evening hours.
The weather system in the Andaman Sea could organise further into a significant low pressure area in another 48 hours. In view of this system, the Bay islands could witness a lot of weather activity.
The trough extending from Andhra Pradesh up to Tamil Nadu across Karnataka will light to moderate showers over the these states. Kerala will also receive some rain tomorrow.
Weather conditions suggest that another system will come up in the Lakshadweep region very soon. This system along with the one in the Andaman Sea will finally be responsible for changing the wind pattern from Southwesterly to Northeasterly in the Southern Peninsula.
Clear skies over North and Central India will lead to rise in maximums. In Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and most parts of Maharashtra temperatures will be in mid-thirties. Day temperatures will be nearing forties in Gujarat and Rajasthan.
