Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir has now moved away, while the low pressure area over the region has also diffused. As a result, torrential rains will now take a back seat and weather conditions will improve over the hilly region of North India.

Meanwhile, another low pressure area is now over Bangladesh, Assam and Meghalaya and has also become less marked. However, it will continue to affect the weather over Northeastern region for next 24 hours.

We can expect fairly widespread light to moderate rain over Northeast India on Friday. Isolated showers can also be expected over coastal parts of West Bengal and North Odisha.

Moving down south, a fresh cyclonic circulation is over extreme southern parts of Tamil Nadu and a trough can be seen through the system up to South Interior Karnataka across Tamil Nadu. Both the systems will bring light to moderate rain over Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and South Andhra Pradesh.

Another cyclonic circulation is seen in Andaman Sea and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal. The system is in process of becoming more organised and is likely to intensify into a low pressure area during next 48 hours.

Meanwhile, Southwest Monsoon is likely to withdraw further from northwestern plains including Delhi any time now. Most parts of East and Central India will also remain majorly dry.
