The cumulative rainfall deficiency has come down to 14%. All thanks to fairly widespread rainfall over Central and Peninsular India.
The low pressure area over Jharkhand and adjoining Odisha region will bring fairly widespread rain over Jharkhand, Bihar, North Odisha and West Bengal. The rain belt will gradually extend up to Chhattisgarh and East Uttar Pradesh.
The southerly moisture laden winds will penetrate up to Northeast India. Thus, we could see fairly widespread rain and thundershowers over Sikkim, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and northeastern states.
Another low pressure area over North Gujarat will bring rainfall over the state along with Rajasthan.
The Western Disturbance over North Pakistan will move in a Northeast direction to bring some light rain over the hills. Fairly widespread rain and thundershowers are likely over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh.
The intensity of rain will remain subdued over Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, West Coast, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
Maximums to rise over Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and most parts of Peninsular India. Expect pleasant weather conditions over Northwest India.
