The depression over Maharashtra region has moved north-westwards and is now presently marked over parts of Gujarat. With this, rain belt will also shift westwards and we can expect heavy showers over parts of Gujarat, South Rajasthan and adjoining Madhya Pradesh.
While, intensity of rain will now reduce significantly over Maharashtra, which has been receiving heavy to very heavy showers due to this system.
Also under the influence of this system, we can expect scattered light to moderate showers all along the West Coast including parts of Coastal Karnataka and Kerala. However, Tamil Nadu and interiors of Peninsular India will have least weather activity.
Meanwhile on the eastern side, cyclonic circulation is persisting in Bay of Bengal and is in process of getting more organized. The system is likely to intensify into a low pressure area during the next 24 hours.
It is presently marked over North Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal parts of Bangladesh and West Bengal. This will give good rain over costal parts of Odisha and West Bengal on Saturday and later on cover more parts of East India including Bihar and Jharkhand.
An east-west trough can be seen between the two weather systems on east and west coast across Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha. Accordingly, we can expect weather activity all along the well-marked trough line.
Moving up in the hills, Western Disturbance is hovering over Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining North Pakistan as an upper air system. With this, scattered light rain can be seen over the hilly states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
In plains, Delhi will see spell of good rain and thundershowers on Saturday, bringing much-needed relief for Delhiites from hot and humid weather.
