Central India will be the main activity centre in terms of Monsoon rains for the next couple of days.

The well-marked low pressure area has been organizing and could possibly take the shape of a depression. Tomorrow it will lie at the junction of Central and Peninsular India covering most of the states in this region. We can expect heavy to very heavy rainfall over Vidarbha, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and parts of Madhya Pradesh. By tomorrow Monsoon rains will reduce significantly over Odisha.

The trough running across this weather system will influence the Monsoon current over Coastal Karnataka, Konkan & Goa. In fact, entire Peninsular India, barring Tamil Nadu and South Interior Karnataka, will receive rain and thundershowers tomorrow. This region is in for a good long lasting spell of rain and thundershowers.

Gujarat will also come under the influence of the weather system within a day or two. It could possibly bring some rain even over the areas from where Monsoon has retreated. But, Northeast India will receive scattered light rainfall.

The well-marked low is the most dominant weather system at present. It has changed the wind pattern over North India. Day temperatures in the plains will remain in higher thirties. As humidity levels have increased, even night could be a little sultry. In absence of rain, temperatures will settle in higher thirties even in the interiors of Tamil Nadu.
