Weather Forecast for September 15, 2015: Skymet Weather

September 14, 2015 6:20 PM |

The low pressure area over West central Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into a well-marked low during next 24 to 48 hours. The system will gradually move westwards, bringing fairly widespread rainfall over Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and South Chhattisgarh.

This system has changed the wind pattern over the Indo Gangetic plains. Easterly winds blowing over the area have increased the humidity levels over Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and the northern plains. Increased moisture might bring some light rainfall over the eastern states.

Northeast India will continue to receive light to moderate rainfall. Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim could receive heavy showers.

A trough can be seen extending from South Gujarat to Coastal Karnataka. Due to this system good showers are likely over Coastal Karnataka, Konkan, Goa and Madhya Maharashtra. The intensity of rainfall will decrease over South Gujarat.

Weather will be mainly dry in North India, Rajasthan, and most parts of Gujarat.

In Delhi and the northern plains, maximums will remain 3°C to 5°C above normal in higher thirties. Areas with least rainfall activity in East and Central India will also have day temperatures above normal levels in the range of 34°C to 38°C.
