Weather Forecast for Sep 8: Monsoon Rain in MP, UP, Odisha, Rajasthan, Delhi

Let begin with region which at present is recording active Monsoon conditions. The depression over eastern parts of the country has weakened and is now seen as a low pressure area over North Madhya Pradesh and adjoining. However, it would continue giving light to moderate rains with isolated heavy showers over North Madhya Pradesh and East Rajasthan.

At the same time, rest of Madhya Pradesh would record scattered light to moderate rainfall along with light showers in pockets of West Rajasthan and North Chhattisgarh.

Rains are expected to reduce significantly over Maharashtra, while Gujarat would remain dry.

However, with this system vacating East/Northeast India, rains would now reduce over the region. Although the axis of Monsoon trough runs through Southeast Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal, but the intensity of rain would now be on lower side.

East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha would see scattered light to moderate rainfall, while rains over Jharkhand would be light.

Meanwhile, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Mizoram may witness light to moderate with isolated heavy showers. We even hope that rains would increase over Northeast India gradually.

Moving up in North, scattered light to moderate rains are likely to persist in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh, Delhi NCR, Haryana and East Punjab. But rains over Jammu & Kashmir would remain on the lighter side.

Lastly in South India, Monsoon would remain subdued over the entire region, however scattered light rains over Coastal Karnataka and isolated showers in Coastal Andhra Pradesh cannot be ruled out.
