Weather Forecast for Sep 6: Rain in Odisha, MP, Chhattisgarh, UP

Beginning with East/Northeast India, the fresh low pressure area over Odisha has once again revived the Monsoon over East India. The system is likely to give moderate to heavy showers in Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, parts of South Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh. There is also chances of very heavy rains at one or two places of Odisha, which can result in flood-like conditions.

In Central India, the cyclonic circulation over North Madhya Pradesh would cause moderate to heavy showers in East Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Meanwhile, Vidarbha may too see heavy showers at isolated places.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall in pockets of West Madhya Pradesh and East Rajasthan along with sporadic rains in East Gujarat and Central Maharashtra. Rainfall activities in Konkan & Goa including Mumbai will remain light.

Talking about North India, the axis of monsoon trough is passing through Punjab, North Haryana and North Uttar Pradesh. Moreover, a cyclonic circulation has developed over North Haryana. Therefore, light to moderate rain is possible in parts of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi. West Uttar Pradesh may have heavy rains during the next 24 hours.

At last in South India, there may be light rain in pockets of Coastal Karnataka, North Telangana and Coastal Andhra Pradesh. There may also be some rain in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
