Weather Forecast for Sep 6: Rain in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai; Dry weather in Delhi and Mumbai

A feeble Western Disturbance is over North Pakistan and the Axis of Monsoon trough is still running along the foothills of Himalayas. An induced cyclonic circulation is over Central Pakistan. Therefore subdued rainfall activities will continue over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Weather of Northwest plains will also remain almost dry due to prevailing westerly winds.

In East India, the eastern end to Axis of Monsoon trough is running close to the foothills therefore we expect weak Monsoon conditions to continue over Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand and many parts of West Bengal. Sub Himalayan west Bengal, Sikkim and Northeastern states will receive moderate rains at many places and one or two heavy spells are also expected over the region. A trough is running from North Odisha to Tamil Nadu therefore few light to moderate spells of rain are possible in Odisha.

In Central India South Rajasthan, Gujarat and West Madhya Pradesh will continue to witness dry weather conditions with isolated light rains. Vidarbha, Southeast Madhya Pradesh and South Chhattisgarh may witness light to moderate Monsoon showers at some places.

Live status of Lightning and thunder

In South India, a trough is running from North Odisha to Tamil Nadu across Andhra Pradesh. Due to this weather system light to moderate rains will occur over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, parts of Telangana, Rayalaseema, South Interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, weather of Konkan and Goa, Kerala and remaining parts of Maharashtra will remain almost dry with isolated light Monsoon rains.

Talking about the major cities of India, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai may receive light rains meanwhile Delhi, Patna, Lucknow and Mumbai will remain dry.
