Beginning with East/Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation is over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha. The system is likely to induce a low pressure in the next 36-48 hours. Plus, the axis of Monsoon trough is passing via Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and West Bengal.
Thus, we anticipate moderate to heavy showers over Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal and parts of Odisha. At the same time, Uttar Pradesh, parts of Bihar, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura may record light to moderate rain with isolated heavy spells. We do not expect any relief from the ongoing floods in Uttar Pradesh.
In Central India, light to moderate rains with few heavy spells are possible over East Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Comparatively, Southeast Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Konkan & Goa and Vidarbha would see light to moderate rainfall.
