Weather Forecast for Sep 4: Flood in Uttar Pradesh, North Madhya Pradesh, and East Rajasthan

Beginning with North India, the cyclonic circulation over Central Pakistan would give light rain over Jammu and Kashmir but eastern part of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand may see moderate to heavy rain.

Down in plains, Punjab, Haryana and parts of Delhi would continue with heavy rainfall. Meanwhile, we do not expect any relief from the ongoing floods in Uttar Pradesh as the cyclonic circulation over West Uttar Pradesh would give moderate to heavy rainfall will continue in many parts of Uttar Pradesh.

Moving onto Central India, moderate to heavy rain is possible over many places of East Rajasthan and North Chhattisgarh, along with North Madhya Pradesh. Not only this, flood like situation is likely over North Madhya Pradesh and parts of East Rajasthan. Rainfall in Maharashtra including Konkan & Goa, South Rajasthan, Gujarat and the remaining Madhya Pradesh will remain on the lighter side.

Talking about East and Northeast India, the axis of Monsoon trough is passing through East Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Odisha along with an embedded cyclonic circulation over Odisha. There is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall in East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. There can be heavy rainfall at one or two places as well. Even the northern districts of Odisha and Northeastern States will continue with light to moderate rainfall.

Finally in South India, there may be moderate rainfall in some places of Coastal Karnataka, while on the eastern side, Coastal Andhra Pradesh would see light rainfall. The weather will remain almost dry in the rest of the Southern Peninsula.
