As predicted by Skymet Weather, the withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon 2017 has finally commenced and presently it has withdrawn from many parts of Punjab, Haryana, West Rajasthan and Kutch. Moreover, the conditions are favorable for the Southwest Monsoon to withdraw further over these regions.
With no active weather system over entire northwestern plains of India including hills, dry and warm weather conditions will continue, along with sunny days but comfortable nights and mornings.
Coming to East and Northeast India, a trough is seen running from Bihar up to Kerala across Jharkhand and Odisha. Due to this weather system, rains are likely to increase over East India. Therefore, light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells are possible over Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and West Assam.
On the other hand, Jharkhand, Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal including Kolkata will get to witness light to moderate showers. While scattered light rains will continue to occur over remaining parts of northeastern states.

Coming to Central India, the weather of South Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and North Chhattisgarh is expected to remain dry and warm. Although a few places over Vidarbha, Marathwada and South Chhattisgarh may witness scattered light rains.
Down South, a cyclonic circulation is seen over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Another cyclonic circulation is seen over Rayalaseema. With this, moderate rains with one or two spells of heavy showers are likely over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and some parts of Telangana.
Live status of Lightning and thunder
A few spells of moderate showers are possible over Karnataka, South Konkan & Goa, South Madhya Maharashtra and North Tamil Nadu. Whereas, a few places in Kerala and Interior Tamil Nadu will settle with light rains.
