Weather Forecast for Sep 28: Rain in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata; Delhi, Mumbai to remain dry

Durga Puja fever has taken over the entire country, with pandals and delicacies being seen on every corner. Let’s have a look at the weather conditions across major cities of India first, Hyderabad and Bengaluru will witness moderate intensity spells, while Kolkata and Chennai would record light showers. Meanwhile, Delhi and Mumbai will continue to observe dry and sunny weather.

Coming to North India; a feeble Western Disturbance can be seen over North Jammu and Kashmir, however no significant weather activity is foreseen with this weather system and the weather will continue to remain dry and warm over the northern hills.

Similar weather conditions are likely to persist over northwestern plains including Delhi and NCR.

Moving to Central region, an anti-cyclone is seen over South Rajasthan and adjoining Gujarat. Therefore, dry and sunny weather will prevail over Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. However, isolated light rain is possible over Vidarbha and southern parts of Chhattisgarh.

In east and northeast side, a cyclonic circulation is over Bihar and the axis of Monsoon trough is running from East Uttar Pradesh up to Nagaland across Bihar and West Bengal.

Thus, light to moderate rains may occur over Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha. Scattered rains are also possible over Gangetic West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh. Meanwhile, parts of Nagaland and Mizoram may witness moderate showers.

Down South, a cyclonic circulation is seen over Andhra Coast and a trough is extending form this system up to Arabian Sea across Rayalaseema and South Interior Karnataka.

Live status of Lightning and thunder

In wake of this, light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells are likely over parts of Rayalseema, North Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and South Konkan and Goa. Also, Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar Islands may see scattered light to moderate showers.
