Rains have reduced significantly across the country barring northeast and south India due to the absence of any significant weather system. However, a feeble western disturbance can be seen over North Pakistan and the axis of Monsoon trough is running close to the foothills of Himalayas. As these systems are not much active, we expect mainly dry weather conditions over entire northwest India including the hills of western Himalayas. The dry westerly winds will also blow over the northern plains which will further reduce the humidity level.
Moving to East India, the eastern end of the axis of Monsoon trough is running across Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal. Due to this weather system, we expect light rain over parts of Jharkhand and light to moderate showers over West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh. Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura may receive few moderate to heavy spells. Coastal Odisha may also receive light to moderate rain at some places.
