A Western Disturbance is over Jammu and Kashmir while yesterday’s well marked low pressure area now lies over North Rajasthan and adjoining Haryana as a low pressure area. Due to its interaction with the Western Disturbance, heavy to very heavy rains are likely over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Flashfloods and landslides are possible over these parts as well.
Heavy to very heavy rains are also likely over North Punjab, North Haryana and extreme Northwest Uttar Pradesh. Moderate rains are expected over Northeast Rajasthan, Delhi, and West Uttar Pradesh. Light rains are expected over rest of Rajasthan.
Due to the anti-cyclone over Central Bay of Bengal, moisture incursion over Odisha and adjoining parts is taking place which will give some rains over Odisha, South Jharkhand, adjoining Gangetic West Bengal and Chhattisgarh. Northeast India will see light to moderate rains due to a north south trough over the area.
Talking about Central India, rains will reduce now with only light rains over isolated parts of East Gujarat, Northwest Madhya Pradesh. Light rains are expected over Konkan and Goa including Mumbai and Vidarbha.

In South India, a cyclonic circulation is over East Central Arabian Sea and a trough is extending from this system across Tamil Nadu. Thus, scattered moderate rains are expected over Kerala, South Karnataka along with Bengaluru, Tamil Nadu including Chennai and adjoining Rayalaseema. Light rains are expected over rest of South India.
