The low pressure area over Coastal Andhra Pradesh has intensified into a well-marked low pressure area. This will continue to give heavy to very heavy Monsoon rains over Andhra Pradesh, Telangana including Hyderabad, and Marathwada. With this, flood situation will remain grim over parts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as more intense showers are expected during the next 24 hours, reducing thereafter. The system will also bring light rains over parts of North Tamil Nadu including Chennai.
This has also infused fresh Monsoon surge over Konkan and Goa, which will also continue with moderate to heavy rains at many places of the region. Meanwhile, Coastal Karnataka will have light to moderate rains, while Kerala will have subdued Monsoon rains only.
A trough is also seen extending from Northwest Rajasthan up to east-central Bay of Bengal across Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha region. Due to this, good rains are likely over South Gujarat, South Madhya Pradesh, parts of Maharashtra, and South Chhattisgarh.
Up in East India, scattered light to moderate rains may occur over East Uttar Pradesh, foothills of Bihar and Northeast India including sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. Meanwhile, in absence of any significant weather, entire Northwest India will witness mainly dry weather conditions.
