Weather Forecast for Sep 23: Rain in Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Kolkata

In North India, the Western Disturbance is seen moving away eastward. A low pressure area is over West Uttar Pradesh. Heavy rain is possible over Uttarakhand and adjoining Himachal Pradesh. Weathermen has given alert for flash floods and landslides.

Parts of Haryana are expected to get scattered rains and thundershowers. The weather of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and North Rajasthan will remain dry. Light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells may occur over Northwest Uttar Pradesh.

Coming to east and northeast side, parts of East Uttar Pradesh, North Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Assam may witness light to moderate rains. Meanwhile, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha and rest of northeastern states will record scattered light rains.

Moving to Central region, West Madhya Pradesh may continue with light to moderate rains, while parts of East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha will settle with light rain. The weather of South Rajasthan and Gujarat is expected to be dry.

South India will witness subdued rains over most parts. Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Coastal Andhra Pradesh may see light to moderate rains. Light rains also possible over Coastal and interior parts of Karnataka and Kerala. The weather of Telangana, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu will continue to be dry.

Talking about the weather over major cities of India, Delhi and Lucknow will witness moderate rains, whereas Mumbai and Kolkata would record light rains but Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai will remain dry.
