After giving torrential rains over east and central parts of the country, Cyclone Daye weakened into a deep depression very soon and with further land movement, it is now seen as a low pressure area now. At present, this system can be marked over West Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Southeast Rajasthan.

On account of this, parts of Gujarat, Vidarbha and North Madhya Maharashtra along with Southwest Madhya Pradesh will get heavy to very heavy rains. Simultaneously, Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh and rest of Maharashtra will see light to moderate spells.

Furthermore, East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and parts of Odisha would see scattered light to moderate rainfall. The rainfall intensity may pick up pace marginally over the northeastern states during the next 24 hours.

Moving ahead, a fresh Western Disturbance lies over Jammu and Kashmir and a north-south trough is extending from this system up to the low pressure area. Hence, we anticipate heavy to very heavy spells over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, with chances of flash floods and landslides.
