The low pressure area over Central India has weakened into a cyclonic circulation and is presently seen over Vidarbha and adjoining region.
With this, good rains are likely over Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan and Goa, and South Madhya Pradesh. Mumbai is likely to continue with heavy to very heavy rains for the next 2-3 days.
Meanwhile, scattered light to moderate rainfall may occur over remaining parts of Maharashtra, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Rayalaseema and North Interior Karnataka.
Northeast India including Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim will also record light to moderate rain and thundershowers, while entire East India including Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha and Chhattisgarh will witness light rain on Saturday.
Up in northern region, the anti-cyclone is marked over Central Pakistan and adjoining West Rajasthan. In wake of this, dry northwesterly winds will be blowing over most parts of Rajasthan. This will lead to dry weather conditions over entire Northwest India including Delhi NCR.
