The eastern end of axis of Monsoon trough is running close to the foothills dipping towards Central Bay of Bengal. Thus, light to moderate rains are expected over Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Northeast India. Foothills of East Uttar Pradesh as well as North Odisha may also receive rains at a few places.
Talking about Central India, Northeast Madhya Pradesh and North Chhattisgarh may receive scattered light to moderate rains. Rest of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh may see light rains at one or two places. Weather over Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan will remain dry.
Up North, a fresh Western Disturbance has approached Jammu and Kashmir and the axis of Monsoon trough is also running close to the foothills. Thus, light to moderate rains are expected over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand along with Northwest Uttar Pradesh.
Northern districts of Punjab and Haryana may also see some rains. Weather over Delhi, rest of Haryana and Punjab and Southwest Uttar Pradesh will remain dry due to presence of westerly winds.

Moving to South India, a trough is extending from Telangana to Comorin across Rayalaseema, South Interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu due to which scattered rains may occur over South Rayalaseema, South Interior Karnataka and parts of Tamil Nadu may see scattered rains. Light rains may also occur Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
