The low pressure can now be seen over Telangana. Under the influence of this system, heavy to very heavy showers are expected over parts of Telangana, Marathwada and North Interior Karnataka.
Meanwhile, the rain intensity will reduce over Odisha and Coastal Andhra Pradesh. However, scattered light to moderate showers will continue with one or two heavy spells. North Coastal Tamil Nadu including Chennai may also get moderate rains.
The western end of the Monsoon trough has now moved southwards and the trough will pass through Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and further towards the low pressure area. Due to this, light to moderate rains may occur over East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal.
Up in North India, isolated light rains are likely over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, North Punjab and West Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, Delhi and Haryana will be dry.
In Northeast India, light to moderate rains are on the cards for Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur and Tripura while scattered rains are expected over Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh.
The rain intensity is expected to pick up pace over the West Coast, providing scattered rains over Gujarat region and light to moderate showers over Konkan and Goa, Coastal Karnataka and Kerala.
