Weather Forecast for Sep 11: Good Monsoon rains in Chennai, Kolkata, Andhra, Telangana, Odisha

The cyclonic circulation is now seen over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and west-central Bay of Bengal. A trough is also extending from this system up to North Tamil Nadu. With this, moderate to heavy rains are likely to lash Coastal Tamil Nadu, while light to moderate to rain may occur over North Tamil Nadu including Chennai, Rayalaseema, Telangana, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha region and. The system will also infuse fresh Monsoon surge over the West Coast and we can expect light rains over Konkan and Goa, Coastal Karnataka and Kerala.

The western end of the Monsoon trough continues to run along the foothills of Himalayas, while the eastern end extending across East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and west-central Bay of Bengal. With this, light rains are likely to continue over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal including Kolkata.

Up in Northeast India, moderate rains with few heavy spells will also continue over Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Sikkim and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal.

Meanwhile in Northwest India, the cyclonic circulation is seen over South Rajasthan. However, it will not have impact on the weather and northwestern plains including Delhi-NCR will continue with mainly dry weather conditions.
