Weather systems in the Indian seas are keeping the Northeast Monsoon active over Peninsular India.

The low pressure area in Southwest Bay of Bengal off the Sri Lanka coast is now marked over Comorin region and adjoining areas. A trough is also seen extending from this system up to a fresh cyclonic circulation in North Bay of Bengal along the East Coast. Due to this, we can expect good showers over Tamil Nadu and Kerala on Friday. While, coastal parts of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha will receive with light showers only.

Meanwhile on the western side, the depression in Arabian Sea has intensified into a cyclonic storm Chapala. Though it is far away from the Indian coast but it has kept the wind pattern easterly, which will further enhance the Monsoon surge over Peninsular India.

Moving in the eastern parts of the country, a cyclonic circulation over the region has now become insignificant. With this, rains will reduce significantly and weather will go dry once again. Northeast India is also not expected to witness significant weather activity.

Meanwhile, anti-cyclone circulation over Rajasthan will keep the weather mainly dry over Northwest and Central India on Friday.
