The low pressure area in east-central Arabian Sea that had kept West Coastline active for the last few days has finally faded away. With this, rain activity will reduce significantly over Peninsular India.

However, a cyclonic circulation is seen over extreme southern parts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. This will bring light to moderate showers over both the coastal states.

Meanwhile on the eastern side, a fresh cyclonic circulation is seen over North Bay of Bengal, causing scattered light rain over Gangetic West Bengal. Moreover, system’s proximity to the northeast region, will also give some showers over Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur and Tripura.

A trough is also seen extending from this system up to northwest Uttar Pradesh along the foothills of Himalayas. Accordingly light rain is expected on Wednesday all along well-marked trough line.

Up in the hills, Western Disturbance is now passing through eastern parts of Jammu and Kashmir as an upper air system. This system will be interacting with the trough over Uttar Pradesh, giving light rain over Uttarakhand and West Uttar Pradesh.

Delhi is also expected to see some passing showers under this influence.

Meanwhile, anti-cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan and adjoining Gujarat will keep the weather mainly dry over entire West and Central India.
