The deep-depression in east-central Arabian Sea has weakened rapidly and is now lying as a low pressure area. The system is likely to move away from the coast now.

A trough is seen along the West Coast, extending from South Konkan region up South Tamil Nadu. While, another fresh system is seen developing around Lakshadweep area.

All the systems combined together will bring widespread rain activity over Kerala, South and coastal parts of Karnataka and North Tamil Nadu. Isolated places may record heavy showers also.

Scattered light rain will be observed over rest of Karnataka, South Konkan region, Rayalaseema and interiors of Tamil Nadu.

A north-south trough which was earlier extending from Sikkim region to Bay of Bengal has now shifted northwestwards and is presently running from northwest Uttar Pradesh to West-central Bay of Bengal across Bihar and West Bengal.

Accordingly light rain is expected on Tuesday over the foothills of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal and few places of Jharkhand.

Moreover, tough’s proximity to the northeast region, will also give some showers over Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur and Tripura.

Up in the hills, a fresh Western Disturbance is prevailing over Jammu and Kashmir as an upper air system. With this, isolated rains can be expected over the hilly state.

While, anti-cyclonic circulation over South Rajasthan and adjoining Gujarat will keep the weather dry over entire Northwest and Central India.

Day temperatures will continue to soar and settle in high 30°C on Tuesday. However, nights and mornings will be comfortable.
