The well-marked low pressure area in east-central Arabian Sea has further intensified into a depression. The system is expected to gain more strength and even turn into a deep depression during next 24 hours.

It is presently marked about 400 km from southwest of Goa and is likely to more in northwest direction, away from the coast.

Moreover a trough is also extending from the system up to southeast Arabian Sea across Lakshadweep Island off the Kerala coast.

As a result, moderate to heavy showers along with strong winds are likely over Kerala and Coastal Karnataka on Saturday. While, Konkan & Goa region can also witness light rain.

Meanwhile, the well-marked low pressure area in Bay of Bengal has further moved away from the India in northeast direction. Trough is extending from the system across north and central Bay of Bengal.

With this light rains are likely over coastal areas of West Bengal, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. Rain activity will go light over Northeast region and only Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur and Tripura will receive some showers.

While, no weather activity will be witnessed over Northwest and Central India on Saturday. Day temperatures will continue to soar and settle in high 30s. Particularly parts of Rajasthan and Gujarat which may record maximum temperatures in early 40s as well.

However, we can expect some relief from the soaring mercury during next 48 hours due to change in wind pattern.
