South Peninsula continues to receive good showers. Southwest Monsoon has withdrawn from most parts of Central and North India.

The low pressure area over North Bay of Bengal could intensify into a well-marked low and move closer to West Bengal-Bangladesh region. Under the influence of this system, good showers are likely over West Bengal, southern parts of Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. Scattered rains likely over rest of Assam, Sikkim and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal. This system will clear out in another 48 hours. Thereafter, Southwest Monsoon will withdraw from Northeast India as well.

The cyclonic circulation on the other side has been more or less stationery. It is not likely to intensify further and could become insignificant after about 3 days. As of now, Coastal Karnataka and Goa will receive good showers. Kerala will receive light rains only. The East-West trough joining these two systems will continue to bring some rainfall activity over peninsular region.

In Central India, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Marathwada, Chhattisgarh will have clear skies. Day temperatures will be nearing 40 degrees in parts of Gujarat and Rajasthan.

Delhi-NCR could record temperatures as high as 37 degrees Celsius as day maximum. But, night will be cool and breezy.
