South Peninsula has been receiving good showers since the last few days. But, rainfall at this point of time should in no way be construed as Northeast Monsoon rains. Here’s a look at the weather forecast for Tuesday.
The cyclonic circulation will move towards central parts of the Bay of Bengal. It could become more marked and come closer to the East Coast. Tomorrow, the system will bring light rainfall over coastal areas of Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal. Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura will also receive light rains.
The other cyclonic circulation over Arabian Sea off the Karnataka coast will remain stationery for about next 48 hours. A lot of rainfall activity could be witnessed along the West Coast. Coastal Karnataka will receive heavy rainfall. Good showers likely in Kerala, Konkan & Goa and coastal Maharashtra.
In Central India, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Marathwada, Chhattisgarh will have clear skies. Day temperatures will be nearing 40 degrees in parts of Gujarat and Rajasthan.
Maximums are rising in the northern plains as well. Delhi-NCR could record temperatures around 37 degrees Celsius. Punjab will be cooler.
