Weather Forecast for Oct 9: Delhi NCR will continue to be dry; Moderate rain in Mumbai, Hyderabad

Let’s begin with weather forecast for Central and South India; there are two circulations prevailing, one over Telangana and adjoining Maharashtra, and the other is lying over east central Arabian Sea off Coastal Karnataka. In wake of these weather systems, light to moderate rains are likely over South and East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh Karnataka, Kerala and North Tamil Nadu.

Another cyclonic circulation is also likely to form over North Andaman Sea which will give light to moderate rains over Andaman and Nicobar islands.

Coming to East and Northeast region; a low pressure area is seen over Northwest Bay of Bengal off North Odisha Coast. With this, light to moderate rains are possible over South Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha and northeastern states. Few areas in North Odisha could also see heavy spells.

Talking about North and West India weather, due to prevalence of dry and warm winds over the regions, dry weather will continue.

Live status of Lightning and thunder

Talking about the weather conditions across major cities of India; Delhi and Lucknow will continue to see dry and warm weather, while Mumbai, Hyderabad and Kolkata would record moderate rains. Meanwhile, light spells are possible over Bengaluru and Chennai.
