Weather Forecast for Oct 7: Rain in Chennai, Bengaluru, TN, Kerala, Karnataka, dry in Delhi, Mumbai, Gujarat

The well-marked low now has intensified into a depression and lies over South-Central Arabian Sea. This system is likely to become a Cyclonic Storm thereafter. Also, a cyclonic circulation is over Sri Lanka and adjoining Tamil Nadu. Thus, moderate with isolated heavy showers are expected over South Tamil Nadu and similar weather conditions will prevail over South Karnataka including Bengaluru, and Kerala. Meanwhile, moderate rains will continue in North Tamil Nadu including Chennai.

Another cyclonic circulation is seen over Central Bay of Bengal which is expected to become more marked.

Moving onto Central India, due to anti-cyclone, warm and dry weather would prevail over Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, whereas there are chances of light rain in parts of south Madhya Maharashtra. Mumbai would see a hot day with maximum in the mid-30s.

Further in East, the cyclonic circulation over Bangladesh and adjoining area would cause scattered light showers over Northeast India, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. No change in the weather is likely in the eastern states and they would remain hot and dry.

Finally up North, the Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir would give light rain over the state with parts of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The induced circulation over North Rajasthan may cause isolated activity in Northeast Rajasthan, adjoining Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. Rest of the northern plains including Delhi would remain dry.
