Weather Forecast for Oct 30: Northeast Monsoon to pick up pace now; Rains in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka

Northeast Monsoon is further likely to gain strength now. Thus, many parts of Tamil Nadu particularly coastal and southern districts of the state will witness increased rainfall activities. Whereas Kerala and South Interior Karnataka will observe scattered light rains.

During the next 24 hours, isolated rains are possible in south coastal Andhra Pradesh and then the intensity of these rains will increase thereafter. Lakshadweep and Andaman & Nicobar Islands will also record few spells of rain.

A cyclonic circulation is seen over Bangladesh and adjoining areas. With this, a few places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura may receive light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells. While scattered rains are possible at a few places over Assam and Meghalaya.

The weather conditions of remaining parts of East India will continue to remain dry and sunny.

On the other hand, talking about Central India, very warm and dry weather conditions will continue to prevail over West Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat for next few days.

A Western Disturbance is seen over Jammu and Kashmir. An anti- cyclonic circulation is also seen over West Rajasthan. As southeasterly winds are blowing in many parts of Rajasthan, Haryana and Delhi thus, dry weather will continue in entire northwestern plains and Hills of North India.

But due to increase in the humidity, mist and haze formation will continue to prevail over the northwestern plains during morning hours. And further, will result in increase in the pollution levels.
