Depression in west-central Bay of Bengal has further weakened and is now seen as a low pressure area over Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
With this, light to moderate rains over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and North Tamil Nadu including Chennai on Saturday. One or two places may see heavy showers as well.
The system will also continue to give scattered rains over Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal including Kolkata.
Another cyclonic circulation is seen over Kerala. It is likely to give light to moderate rains and thundershowers over Kerala and Lakshadweep Island.
Meanwhile, continuous flow of dry and cool northwesterly winds will continue to blow over entire Northwest and Central India. As a result, maximum and minimum temperatures have witnessed a further drop during the last 24 hours.
We can expect a marginal drop in the mercury across several areas of northern plains including Delhi-NCR and night temperatures are likely to settle in between 13 and 16 degrees.
