October 26, 2018 5:57 PM | Skymet Weather Team

In southern parts of the country, a trough is extending from Tamil Nadu to Madhya Maharashtra passing through Karnataka region.

Due to this system, moderate rain is expected over southern parts of Tamil Nadu, whereas interior parts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala are likely to experience light rain at some places.

Andaman and Nicobar Islands might experience light to moderate rains on account of cyclonic circulation over the region.

Moving towards East, a Cyclonic Circulation lies over southern parts of Assam and adjoining regions. Due to this, light rains are likely over Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and over some parts of South Assam.

Up in North, a Western Disturbance lies over North Pakistan and adjoining parts of Jammu and Kashmir which is moving away and in next 48 hours, we will see another Western Disturbance and its induced Cyclonic Circulation lies over East Rajasthan and adjoining areas.

With this, light rains are likely over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand and over isolated parts of East Rajasthan, Delhi-NCR and Haryana.

Delhi NCR also stands bleak chance of light rain, but it will not bring any relief from deteriorating air quality. In fact, bad news lies ahead for national capital as pollution would increase substantially, all thanks to approaching winters and persistent stubble burning in Punjab and Haryana.

No major weather activity is expected in the Central part of the country on account of an Anti-Cyclone over West Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. Dry and warm weather will continue to prevail. However, Gujarat would remain very warm.
