Weather Forecast for Oct 25: Good rains likely in Bengaluru, Chennai; Dry weather in Mumbai, Kolkata

A cyclonic circulation is seen close to the coast of Sri Lanka and southwest Bay of Bengal. Another cyclonic circulation is over south central Arabian Sea. A trough is seen extending between the above mentioned systems.

Due to this, the intensity of rains is likely to increase over Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

With this, moderate spells are expected over extreme of South Kerala and Coastal Tamil Nadu. Also, a few places over south interior and coastal stations of Karnataka will witness moderate rains. While scattered light rains are likely over Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and rest parts of Karnataka.

Moreover the conditions are becoming favorable for Northeast Monsoon to set in as the northeasterly winds are strengthening and seen prevailing over Bay of Bengal.

Coming to East and Northeast India: A trough is seen extending from northeastern states up to Sub-Himalayan West Bengal across Bangladesh. Due to this, light rains will continue over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh and Sub Himalayan West Bengal.

A cyclonic circulation in the lower levels is over South Chhattisgarh. With this, isolated rains are possible in Gangetic West Bengal, a few parts of Odisha and South Chhattisgarh.

Live status of Lightning and thunder

Coming to Central India, Dry and warm weather is expected to prevail over Madhya Pradesh, entire Maharashtra and Gujarat. Further, day temperatures will rise marginally while mornings and night are likely to remain pleasant.

Up North, a dry cyclonic circulation is over central Pakistan and adjoining areas. Also, northwesterly winds are blowing over most parts of North India.

With this, afternoons will continue to remain warm and dry while nights are likely to remain comfortable. Delhiites will witness haze during the morning hours.
