The well-marked low pressure in east-central Bay of Bengal has intensified into a depression. It is moving in north-northeast direction towards Myanmar and have full potential to further intensify into a deep depression. The system will continue to give heavy to very heavy rains over northern parts of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Scattered rains are also expected over Tamil Nadu and few parts of Kerala. Some clouding could also be seen over Coastal Andhra Pradesh but weather will remain dry.

Up in the region, dry and cool northwesterly winds will continue to blow over entire North, Central and East India. As a result, weather will remain pleasant and minimum temperature will also continue to settle on the lower side between 12 and 17 degrees.

However, minimums could rise marginally across the parts of Gujarat and Rajasthan due to warm and humid southwesterly winds from Arabian Sea.
