The depression over Odisha has moved towards Assam and lies as a low-pressure area. We expect moderate to heavy rains to continue over Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh. Light to moderate spells are likely over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura along with Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

Rain intensity will reduce over Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal but few good spells may continue for next 24 hours. Scattered light to moderate rains are also expected over Jharkhand and Bihar.

Coming to northern parts of the country, a cyclonic circulation is seen over central parts of Pakistan. However, in absence of enough moisture, weather of Northwest India including the hilly regions will remain dry. Mist and haze is possible during the morning hours. As the winds will be light, pollution levels over Delhi and NCR will remain high.

Live status of Lightning and thunder

Down South, at present, no significant weather system is affecting Southern Peninsular India. Thus, dry weather is likely over Konkan and Goa, Karnataka and Rayalaseema. However, light rains are expected over Northern parts of Telangana, Kerala, and North Tamil Nadu.

Light to moderate rains are likely over Kolkata while light showers will occur over Chennai. Meanwhile, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Delhi will remain dry.
