The Southwest Monsoon has officially come to an end, with the country recording normal Monsoon rains.
The cyclonic circulation over Central India is now over Vidarbha and adjoining areas and is likely to move further westwards. Moderate to heavy rains are likely over many parts of Maharashtra but intensity of rains will be more over Konkan and Goa region including Mumbai. Moderate rains are also likely over South Gujarat and Southwest Madhya Pradesh.
Meanwhile, another cyclonic circulation is seen over west central Bay of Bengal off the Andhra Pradesh coast. A trough is also running from this system up to North Tamil Nadu. With this, moderate rains may occur in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana including Hyderabad and South Chhattisgarh. Light rains are also likely over North Tamil Nadu including Chennai.
In wake of these systems, scattered rains are also likely over southeast Rajasthan and remaining parts of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha.
Up in Northeast India, the cyclonic circulation continues to prevail over Tripura and Manipur give moderate to heavy rains over the region.
Meanwhile, weather will be dry in Northwest India but moist winds will keep the weather warm and humid.
