Weather Forecast for Oct 2: Gujarat and Rajasthan continue to experience Dry Weather, temperatures may soar to 40 degree Celsius

The Southwest monsoon has further withdrawn from the remaining parts of the Northwestern plains of the country.

But, before that we would like to come to the main weather activity region. Starting from the Southern part of the country, a Cyclonic Circulation is over Southeast Arabian Sea and one more Cyclonic Circulation is seen over West Bay of Bengal. Due to this weather system, light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells will be experienced over Kerala, Coastal Karnataka and interior parts of Tamil Nadu.

There’s a possibility of formation of a Low-Pressure area over Southeast Arabian Sea and due to this there can be a significant increase in rain activities around October 5 and 6. Light to moderate rains are also expected over Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. However, rains will remain subdued over Rayalaseema.

Moving towards the Central part of the country, an Anti-Cyclonic Circulation is seen over Southwest Gujarat region and it’s adjoining areas. The Southwest monsoon has withdrawn from parts of Madhya Pradesh and few places of Gujarat may touch a mark of 40 degree Celsius.

Dry and hot weather is expected in regions of Madhya Pradesh. South Chhattisgarh, parts of Konkan and Goa and Madhya Maharashtra may experience scattered rains.

Heading towards the eastern part of the country, a North-south trough is seen from West Assam to South Bangladesh. Due to this, scattered rains are expected over Northeastern states and Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

Isolated rains may occur over South coastal Odisha. Whereas, weather of East Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Bihar will remain dry. The variation in day and night temperatures is high by making days warm and nights comfortable.

Now, heading towards the northern part of the country, a present Western Disturbance is moving away, and a fresh Western Disturbance is seen over North Afghanistan and it’s adjoining areas. Light rains is possible over few places of Jammu and Kashmir and one or two places of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

The Southwest monsoon further withdraws from the remaining parts of Northwestern plains of the country including capital region Delhi and Weather in the northern plains of the country will continue to remain dry. North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh will experience warm and dry weather. Whereas, West Rajasthan will touch a mark of 40- degree Celsius and maximums may see a rise in coming few days.
