Weather Forecast for Oct 18: Rain in Bengaluru, Kerala, TN, Hyderabad and Chennai, Delhi pollution to rise

Beginning with north, A Western Disturbance is seen over Jammu and Kashmir and its induced Cyclonic Circulation is over North Rajasthan and its adjoining areas. Jammu and Kashmir may experience scattered rains whereas Himachal Pradesh may witness rains over isolated areas only. Also, isolated thunderstorm or let’s say light rains cannot be ruled out over North Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and Delhi.

Dussehra is just around the corner and due to this the pollution in Delhi NCR is all set to rise. Mist and haze will also continue to persist during morning and evening hours. However, there can be a marginal drop in maximums because of cloudy or partly cloudy sky, whereas, minimum temperatures will see a marginal rise.

Meanwhile, the entire region of Central India including Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha will continue to experience warm and dry weather. However, there is a possibility of one or two short spells of rain over South Konkan and Goa and adjoining parts of Madhya Maharashtra.

Weather across the region will witness warm and dry day with their maximums in the range of mid 30s to higher 30s.

Moving towards eastern part of the country, dry weather will continue over East India but isolated rains can be witnessed in some parts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya. Days will be warm and sunny with maximums in the range of 32 degree-Celsius to 34 degree-Celsius.

Down South, a Cyclonic Circulation is seen over interior Tamil Nadu and adjoining parts of Kerala. There are chances of light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Coastal Karnataka, South Interior Karnataka including Bengaluru, parts of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. However, the intensity of rains may reduce marginally over Kerala.

Whereas, scattered rains can be witnessed over Andhra Pradesh and isolated rains over arts of North interior Karnataka and districts of Telangana including Hyderabad.
