Weather Forecast for Oct 14: Rain in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Northeast

October 13, 2016 5:14 PM |

A fresh anti-cyclone has developed over Rajasthan, due to which dry and cool northwesterly winds are blowing over most parts of Northwest and Central India.

As a result, minimum temperatures have dropped significantly across both the regions, particularly over Madhya Pradesh. This change in weather conditions have also marked the commencement of the winter season.

Down south, we can see two cyclonic circulations lying over Coastal Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. With this, we can expect moderate rains with isolated heavy spell over Coastal Karnataka, Kerala and South Tamil Nadu.

Meanwhile, scattered light rains are likely over North Tamil Nadu including Chennai and Interior Karnataka.

Meanwhile, cyclonic circulation over Meghalaya has become less marked. With this, rains will reduce over Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh but fairly widespread rains will continue over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
