The cyclonic circulation over Gangetic West Bengal has now shifted further eastwards and is now marked over northeast Bay of Bengal.
Another circulation over Coastal Karnataka also continues to persist. A trough can be seen running between these two systems across South Interior Karnataka and North Tamil Nadu.
With this, light to moderate rains are likely over North and Central Tamil Nadu including Chennai, and Coastal and South Interior Karnataka. Isolated light showers may also occur over Andhra Pradesh, North Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal.
Meanwhile, cyclonic circulation over Assam and Meghalaya has become less marked. As a result, rains will reduce over Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh. But with the close proximity of the system in Bay of Bengal, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura will continue with good rains.
Up in Northwest India, the region will continue with dry weather conditions and dry and cold northwesterly winds will lead to further drop in temperatures.
