Weather Forecast for Oct 13: Rain in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai; Dry weather in Delhi, Lucknow, Jaipur

Let’s begin with weather forecast for North India, a feeble Western Disturbance is seen moving away eastward. A cyclonic circulation is persisting over Central Pakistan. However, even with these systems, no significant weather activity is anticipated over the northern hills as well as northwestern plains. The mentioned regions will continue to witness dry weather. Haze and mist is likely over many parts that will escalate the pollution levels over the region.

Coming to East and Northeast region; a cyclonic circulation is over Bihar and adjoining areas. With this, light rains are likely over parts of East Bihar, Jharkhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and northeastern states. Meanwhile, Interior Odisha could record few good spells.

Talking about Central India; Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Marathwada are expected to record light to moderate rains. Isolated light rain is also possible over South Gujarat. West Madhya Pradesh, rest of Gujarat and South Rajasthan will remain hot and dry.

Moving down, a cyclonic circulation is over southeast and adjoining east central Bay of Bengal and from this system extends a trough up to South Interior Karnataka. Another circulation is seen over east central Arabian Sea.

In wake of these multiple weather systems, light to moderate rains are expected over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, parts of Telangana, Coastal and South Interior Karnataka, parts of Kerala, Rayalaseema and North Tamil Nadu. Light rains are also possible over Konkan and Goa and North Interior Karnataka.

Lastly, the weather conditions across major cities of India; Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow and Kolkata will continue to see dry and warm weather, while light spells are possible over Mumbai. Meanwhile, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad would record moderate rains.
