The cyclonic circulation continues to prevail over northwest Bay of Bengal, increasing the moisture incursion over Northeast Bay of Bengal.
A north-south trough is also extending from Northeast Bihar up to North Tamil Nadu across West Bengal and the circulation.
With this, we can expect moderate to heavy rains to continue over entire Northeast India, Sikkim, and West Bengal including Kolkata.
Meanwhile, light to moderate rains are likely over Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Odisha.
Down south, Andhra Pradesh and North Tamil Nadu including Chennai will also receive scattered light rains.
Another cyclonic circulation is seen over East-Central Arabian Sea, off the Konkan and Karnataka coast. The system will give moderate showers over South Konkan and Goa and Coastal Karnataka, while Interior Karnataka may get scattered light rains.
Isolated light rains are also expected over Madhya Maharashtra and East Madhya Pradesh.
Meanwhile, Northwest India will witness mainly dry weather conditions on Tuesday. Northwesterly winds will also start blowing over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and most parts of Madhya Pradesh and West Uttar Pradesh.
As a result, we can now expect pleasant mornings and evenings over the northwestern plains in the coming days.
