Weather Forecast for November 29: Good rains to make a comeback to Chennai, Tamil Nadu

The cyclonic circulation in South Bay of Bengal continue to persist. It is likely to intensify into low pressure anytime now and move closer to the Tamil Nadu coast. With this, we can expect fairly widespread light to moderate rain and thundershowers over Coastal Tamil Nadu including Chennai and south coastal Andhra Pradesh on Sunday. One or two place may witness heavy showers as well.

Subdued rain activity may occur over Interior Tamil Nadu and Kerala. While Karnataka and Telangana will remain mainly dry on Sunday.

Another cyclonic circulation which was over Central India also persists and is presently marked over East Rajasthan and adjoining Uttar Pradesh. A trough is also extending from the system up to Gujarat.

This will give scattered light rain over West Madhya Pradesh, while isolated rain may occur over adjoining Gujarat and Norther Madhya Maharashtra.

Also under its influence, easterly winds will blow over West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi leading to rise in minimum temperatures.

Indo-Gangetic plains including parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar will continue to witness shallow fog during early morning hours. Meanwhile, Northeast India will witness shallow to moderate fog.
