Weather Forecast for November 25: Rainfall in Tamil Nadu and Chennai reduces

November 24, 2015 7:25 PM |

After bringing record breaking rainfall in Chennai, Bangalore and several other parts of South India, Northeast Monsoon has taken a backseat for now. No obstruction likely in terms of inclement weather. Relief operations in Chennai will be carried out smoothly at least for next 48 hours. In fact, most parts of the country will witness minimal weather activity.

The low pressure area over east-central Arabian Sea is also drifting further away. The trough in association with this system will extend up to South Gujarat Coast. Till Wednesday, we can expect only light rainfall across coastal parts of Kerala, Karnataka, Konkan-Goa, Maharashtra and the Gujarat coast.

Entire Central India, East and Northeastern parts will remain mainly dry.

A feeble Western Disturbance will not bring much rainfall activity over Jammu and Kashmir. People living across Indo-Gangetic plains could wake up to a foggy Wednesday morning.

The northern plains will witness fair weather conditions. Only patches of fog and mist could be witnessed. No significant deviation likely both in maximum and minimum temperatures.

There is a cyclonic circulation over South Bay of Bengal, which will affect weather from November 29. Another well-marked system is brewing in the Bay of Bengal. This will follow the existing circulation and could head towards the Andhra Coast.
