The low pressure area over east central Arabian Sea persists. The trough from this system is extending up to South Gujarat Coast. Another trough of low is over the Comorin area. The combined effect of this trough and the dominant easterly wave over Tamil Nadu will bring moderate to heavy rainfall over coastal areas of Tamil Nadu. Heavy rainfall will continue over southern parts of the state till Tuesday. As Northeast Monsoon remains active over Chennai, the city has received more than 1000 mm of rainfall so far this November. Fairly widespread rainfall is likely over Kerala, Coastal Karnataka and Madhya Maharashtra. Southern parts of Gujarat and Southwest Madhya Pradesh will also receive some rain on Tuesday.
A feeble Western Disturbance will bring isolated rains over upper reaches of Jammu and Kashmir.
Entire Central India, East and Northeastern parts will remain mainly dry. You might witness smog over many parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and East Uttar Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya.
Dry northwesterly winds will continue to blow over the Indo Gangetic plains. Both maximum and minimum temperatures will remain stable in North India. Temperatures are likely to drop after about 2-3 days.
